President Donald Trump came to the defense of Fox News host Mark Levin on Sunday night, praising the conservative commentator as a “Great American Patriot” and accusing Levin’s critics of attacking him out of jealousy and resentment.
In a lengthy post on Truth Social, Trump offered a full-throated endorsement of the “Life, Liberty & Levin” host, who has become one of the president’s most vocal media allies in recent years.
“Mark Levin, a truly Great American Patriot, is somewhat under siege by other people with far less Intellect, Capability, and Love for our Country,” Trump wrote.
The president went on to describe Levin as a strong and influential voice in conservative politics, crediting his reputation for blunt commentary.
“Mark is Tough, Strong, and Brilliant, hence the nickname, ‘THE GREAT ONE,’ conceived by our MAGA friend, the wonderful Sean Hannity,” Trump added.
Trump’s remarks came just hours after a heated public clash between Levin and media personality Megyn Kelly escalated. Kelly, who has been feuding with Levin for months, intensified the dispute by referring to him with a crude nickname during her latest comments.
The insult followed Levin’s own criticism of Kelly, whom he previously called an “emotionally unhinged, lewd, and petulant wreck.”
The dispute has simmered for months but has increasingly centered on disagreements over the Trump administration’s military actions abroad, particularly the ongoing conflict with Iran.
Kelly recently criticized the administration’s strikes against Iran and argued that the military operation, known as Operation Epic Fury, was “Israel’s war.” She also suggested Levin had been a strong advocate for the campaign.
Trump’s Sunday night message did not mention Kelly by name, but the president made it clear that he stood firmly behind Levin in the dispute.
“When you hear others unfairly attack Mark, remember that they are jealous and angry Human Beings, whose ‘sway’ is much less than the Public understands,” Trump wrote.
He predicted that critics targeting Levin would ultimately lose influence.
“Those that speak ill of Mark will quickly fall by the wayside, as do the people whose ideas, policies, and footings are not sound,” Trump added.
The president also tied his defense of Levin to the broader message of the MAGA movement, which he said remains focused on protecting the country and confronting threats from abroad.
“THEY ARE NOT MAGA, I AM,” Trump wrote. “And MAGA includes not allowing Iran, a Sick, Demented, and Violent Terrorist Regime, to have a Nuclear Weapon to blow up the United States of America, the Middle East and, ultimately, the rest of the World.”
“MAGA is about stopping them cold, and that is exactly what we are doing,” he continued.
Levin has been among the president’s most consistent defenders in the conservative media landscape, regularly praising Trump’s policies and leadership.
At a Hanukkah celebration last December, Levin even referred to Trump as the “first Jewish president,” highlighting his strong support for Israel and his close ties to pro-Israel policy positions.
More recently, Levin has sharply criticized commentators who oppose the war with Iran. Among those he has targeted are Kelly and Tucker Carlson, both of whom have raised concerns about the conflict.
Trump’s post suggested that personal attacks on Levin miss the larger point, which he framed as a shared commitment to American strength and national security.
According to the president, beyond Levin’s “wonderful” family, the Fox host’s central concern is simple.
“The only thing he cares about is GREATNESS AND SUCCESS FOR AMERICA!” Trump wrote.
The exchange underscores the increasingly heated debates within conservative media circles over foreign policy and the direction of the country, particularly as the conflict with Iran continues to dominate headlines and test the unity of Trump’s political coalition.
