Leftists often portray themselves as miracle workers who will solve society’s ills and bring about utopia, but one member of “The Squad” has announced that she is an instrument of God who has healed the sick by simply laying hands on them.
In her autobiography, The Forerunner: A Story of Pain and Perseverance in America, Missouri Congresswoman Cori Bush writes, “As I learned how to apply God’s Word to my life in new ways, I better understood the power that was already residing in me,” The New York Post revealed.
“It was there, waiting for me to acknowledge it, to use it. I had the confidence to heal others with God’s power.”
Bush claims two incidences in which she used supernatural powers to health people, according to Fox News.
“The child had had a bleed in her brain, shortly after she was born, and so couldn’t walk. She had never taken a step in her life,” Bush wrote. “I carried the child from the prayer room in the back of the church out into the sanctuary . . . ‘Walk,’ I said gently to the three-year-old girl, ‘you will walk.’ And this girl took her first step. Then another, and another. She walked.”
“Her grandmother walked into the sanctuary just in time to see the child take about two dozen steps. She screamed, and then she kept screaming,” she continued. “When she caught her breath, she looked at me in wonder and said ‘Praise God.’ She grabbed her granddaughter and walked with her out of the church.”
Another example was Bush healing a woman from multiple tumors.
“One woman whom we met had several visible tumors on her torso. She was due to have surgery but lacked health insurance and living in the park. One of the tumors was particularly painful to her. I laid hands on her and prayed, and I felt that my hand was no longer touching a tumor. It shrank along with the others on her body,” Bush recounted.
Cori Bush says she cured a homeless woman’s tumors by putting her hands on them.
Look how the interviewer asks respectful followups. Imagine the freak out if MTG said she was a faith healer! Cue the misinformation experts.

Although her book came out in 2022, almost no one has read it. The Post noted that The Forerunner only solid a pitiful 729 copies following its debut week after the publisher, Knopf, paid her a $50,000 advance.
Industry insiders called the book launch “mediocre” and said that Knopf was “unlikely” to recoup their investment.
The public yawn comes despite an intense marketing blitz, which included fawning reviews from friendly outlets like New York Magazine and Forbes Women. The book received glowing testimonials from Whoopi Goldberg, Margaret Hoover and Joy Reid. Bush even plugged the memoir on “The View” and “The Daily Show” on the day of its release,” the newspaper explained.
Cori Bush first came to prominence as one of the BLM leaders who protested in Ferguson after the police shooting of Michael Brown. Similar to AOC, she has been one of the most radical members of Congress ever since 2020 when she shocked the political establishment in her state by beating a 10-year incumbent in the Democratic primary.
Earlier in the year, Bush showed that she hates Israel so much that she voted against a bill barring anyone who participated in the Hamas terrorist attacks of October 7, 2023, from entering the United States. The congresswoman has been criticized for, in effect, arguing that Israel had it coming.
Last year, she proposed that Congress give $14 trillion to African Americans because of slavery.
Recent polling has shown that her district has grown tired of her radical antics, however. Earlier in the year, The Hill wrote that she trails her Democratic primary challenger by over 20 percentage points.
