President Donald Trump delivered a pointed second Christmas message late on the holiday, directing his fire at what he described as “sleazebags” who once associated with convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein and later tried to distance themselves when public scrutiny intensified.
Posting on his Truth Social platform Thursday evening, Trump issued the message roughly an hour after announcing U.S. military strikes on ISIS targets in Nigeria. In the Christmas post, Trump argued that once all the facts surrounding Epstein are fully exposed, it will largely be Democrats who are forced to answer uncomfortable questions about their past associations.
“Merry Christmas to all, including the many Sleazebags who loved Jeffrey Epstein,” Trump wrote, accusing them of giving Epstein large sums of money, visiting his island, attending his parties, and praising him publicly before abruptly cutting ties when the situation became politically dangerous. Trump said those same figures then falsely claimed they barely knew Epstein, labeled him a disgusting person, and shifted blame onto Trump himself.
Trump pushed back hard against that narrative, reminding followers that he severed ties with Epstein well before it was politically convenient. He said he was “actually the only one who did drop Epstein, and long before it became fashionable to do so,” directly rejecting efforts to link him to Epstein’s crimes or social circle.
The president went on to suggest that as more names emerge through what he described as an ongoing “Radical Left Witch Hunt,” the political reality would become clear. Trump claimed that when those names are revealed, they will overwhelmingly belong to Democrats, with the exception of what he called “one lowlife Republican,” singling out Rep. Thomas Massie. Trump compared the situation to the Russia investigation, again dismissing it as a hoax that ultimately collapsed under scrutiny.
“A total Scam — and had nothing to do with ‘TRUMP,’” he wrote, reiterating his longstanding position that the Russia probe was politically motivated and baseless.
Trump also turned his attention to the media, taking specific aim at The New York Times. He accused the newspaper of losing subscribers due to what he called “highly inaccurate (FAKE!) coverage” and said the outlet was once again pursuing a narrative that would unfairly damage reputations.
“Now the same losers are at it again,” Trump wrote, adding that this time many people, “mostly innocent,” would be harmed and have their reputations tarnished as a result of media coverage. He concluded the post with a sharp jab at what he labeled “Corrupt Democrat Politics,” closing with a sarcastic Christmas wish.
The message comes as Congress has released several documents related to Epstein in recent days under the Epstein Transparency Act. While the releases have drawn public attention, critics argue they fall short, claiming that too much information remains heavily redacted and that key details are still being withheld.
As additional records continue to surface, Trump’s holiday message underscored his insistence that the full story has yet to be told — and that when it is, the political fallout will not land where many of his critics expect.
